What’s wrong with the old black and brown hard-back Stanley Stanfords – which were virtually indestructible and being capable of being thrown vast distances without denting your honey sandwiches? What about the old canvassy ‘sports bags’ which lasted barely a term before exploding unceremoniously as you ran for that late bus. NOW we have to have ergonomically designed backpacks which protect delicate young kiddy spines. And the latest aberration is the airport luggage style draggable schoolbag. (Sure, we dragged them in the old days, but we didn’t need wheels) What’s next? Anti-gravity? Courier services? Kids These Days.
