The Net Is Not A Place

An interesting court case in the US has decided what a lot of people might have thought was obvious; that a website is not a ‘public place’. This means that laws concerning access for the disabled don’t apply: SouthWest airlines don’t have to redesign their site to make it able to be read by technology assising blind people. It’s one of those weird internet-vs.-real world debates which will continue to crop up in the future.

Who's To Follow?

Sad to hear about the death of Richard Harris, who played an excellent ‘Dumbledore’ in the Harry Potter movie(s), as well as some, arguably, more important movies over his lengthy acting career.
The task remains to fill the Dumbledore role for the remaining Harry Potter movies (assuming they don’t attempt to do it with computer technology). As with many Harry Potter fans, we’re keenly interested in the casting choice, and we agree with a growing body of opinion casting Tom Baker. There’s no competition.
